Therapy Services

Therapy services are provided based on assessed needs and available resources. Upon request, we can also provide additional information and contacts for programs and services available in the community.

Sprucedale's Physiotherapy/Restorative Care Team develops and implements programs exclusive to our residents' individual needs and goals with the intention of maintaining or regaining strength, balance, coordination and mobility to preserve independence and promote comfort. Recommendations may be made for assistive devices or supplies, to help with comfort while sleeping, seating and positioning and independence in activities such as dressing, grooming, mobility, eating or communicating.

Mobility products such as wheelchairs and walkers are available through our preferred vendor or other mobility vendors in and around Strathroy. The Assistive Devices Program (ADP) through the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care is also in place providing up to 75% of the cost of equipment depending on eligibility.

Speech-language pathologists help optimize improved communications, health, independence, quality of life, safety and socialization. Using the services of a speech-language pathologist helps ensure you can continue to enjoy an engaging, productive and rewarding life.

ProResp Health provides oxygen services to our residents. Most of this service is covered by the Assistive Devices Program (ADP) through the Ministry Of Health and Long-Term Care (MOHLTC).
